The Procession Hymn (#485) is a 19th translation from a 12th century Latin poem attributed to St. Bernard of Clairvaux, a French Cistercian monk who founded 69 monasteries.

Introit

Reward them that wait for Thee, O Lord: and let Thy Prophets be found faithful. (from Nehemiah 1:6) Hear the prayer of Thy servants: and of thy people Israel. (Psalm 122:1) I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Offertory

(Psalm 110:1) The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit Thou at My right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool.
